Rivian Recap: 06/20/2025
Hey there,
Here's your weekly Rivian recap for June 20th, 2025.
(My goal was to send on Thursdays, but my ~5k road trip had me delayed).
R1
JP Morgan Chase only confirms EV lease tax credit through June 30, 2025.
TK note: The tax credit situation is evolving quickly with the current bill working through the government. Learn more about lease vs buying here.
12 new Rivian service centers have been confirmed for 2025.
R2
It's been a quiet week on the R2 news front after a steady drip from RJ and Rivian's social team.
We still have a few clues though about the interior design from last weeks behind the scenes video. It looks like we will get at least 2 launch color choices.
(Check out around the 4:50 mark)

I'm right smack in the middle of a long road trip (~5k miles round trip) from the Seattle area to SE Texas (π howdy, Beaumont, TX).
We've been able to check out Arches National Park near Moab, Utah.

Wow - what a beautiful place.
I have a ton of 4k footage and photos coming to include in my end road trip report. As much as you know something, a long road trip really magnifies different attributes about the car that local driving just can't.
The end report should be a fun one... so stay tuned!
